Co-Ed Games
Pick
The Groom
Blindfold
the bride-to-be and have all the guys in the room roll up their pants to
the knee. Have the bride feel each leg and see if she can tell
which one is her man. The guys' butts, arms or chests could also
be used for this game.
Know
The Groom
Prior
to the shower ask the groom 15 to 20 questions about himself such as his
favorite color, favorite song, favorite food, favorite sports team,
etc. Have each guest write down a number from one to 15 (or
whatever the number of questions is) then ask the questions of the
bride. The guest who's number is closest to the number of correct
answers wins a prize.
Gingerbread
Men And Women
Before
the bridal shower bake enough gingerbread men for the expected guests,
plus a few extra just in case. Gather items that can be used to
decorate the gingerbread men such as buttons, ribbons, string, frosting
and candies. Buy or prepare plenty of frosting to be used to stick
the items to the cookies. Have each male guest decorate a
gingerbread bride and have each female guest decorate a gingerbread
groom. Let the bride pick the best "groom" and vice
versa - give the winners a prize, then let everyone eat their artwork.
Mr.
& Mrs. Potato Head
A
variation of the above game using potatoes instead of gingerbread
men. Gather scraps of materials, buttons, lace, ribbon and pins
and have the guests create bride and groom potato heads. Give a
prize for the best "bride" and the best "groom".
Pin
The Lips On The Bride/Groom
Draw
a large sketch of a bride and groom, or enlarge a photo of the bride and
groom-to-be. Cut sets of lips out of red construction paper,
blindfold each guest in turn, and have them try to pin (or tape) the
lips on the bride and groom. The guest to get closest to the mouth
wins. In the event of a tie pick the guy who got closest to the
bride's lips or the gal who got closest to the groom's lips, or give a
prize to each if they were equally close.
Couple
Trivia
Prepare
a list of trivia questions dealing with famous couples like Fred &
Wilma Flintstone, Lucy & Ricky Ricardo, Sonny & Cher, George
& Louise Jefferson, Archie & Edith Bunker, Barney & Betty
Rubble, etc. Ask the guests to write down their answers to the
questions and give them the answers at the end. The guest with the
most correct answers wins. This game could also be played as a
couples or partners game.
The
Newlywed Game
Prepare
questions in advance of the shower and divide up the men and the women
to ask them the questions - ask half of the questions of the men and
half of the women. Write down their answers then bring them back
together in the same room. Ask the women what answers they think
their men gave to their questions, and vice versa. The couple with
the most correct answers wins.
Toilet
Paper Race
Have
a roll of pink toilet paper ready to give to the bride-to-be and a blue
roll of toilet paper ready to give to the groom-to-be. Divide the
guests up into male and female groups and let them each know that first
to unroll their toilet paper roll will be the one to "wear the
pants" in the family. The teamwork this game brings out makes
it hilarious!
